Hawaiian Dog Command for Sit: Noho

As a way to keep the Hawaiian language alive in our ‘ohana (family), we trained our Bullmastiff puppy using dog commands in the Hawaiian language.

Noho means “sit” in Hawaiian.
Ku’u is our abbreviated way of telling our dog, “ho’oku’u,” which means “to release” in Hawaiian.
