Ladies Spring Forward 2022

It was such a great day meeting new customers and other Humboldt women makers! It felt special to be included amongst these women while enjoying sangria from @ponykegmobilebar, chicken waffle sliders from @chef.nataliaboyce, and cookies from @todianewithlovecookieco!

Mahalo to @verandasocial for coordinating and to @wrangletown_cider and @northstorywines for hosting! Looking forward to doing it again next year!

Using our Poi Dog Soap on our Bullmastiff, Ruger 🐾

Poi is made from Kalo.

Kalo is the Hawaiian word for Taro (Colocasia esculenta (L.) Schott).

Taro had many uses in Ancient Hawai’i, but I don’t think it’s common knowledge that poi was used as a poultice for infected sores.

Making a Taro Soap with Taro Brand Poi

Made a Kalo Soap with Taro Brand Poi to celebrate my 12th wedding anniversary since purple was our wedding color.
